My name is Paul Remenschneider; I am an instructor of the Bujinkan Bukeyashiki Dojo (BBD). I am always thrilled to see a student find strengths and abilities that were previously unknown to them. I started in the martial arts when I was 17 yrs. old with Aiki-jûjutsu. Fueled by a deluge of martial artist movies, I tried several different martial art styles. My goal was to learn self defense techniques in order to defend myself if and when I needed to.

The year I turned 21 life started to become very complicated for me and the martial art I was taking at that time wasn’t making it any easy for me. I didn’t have the tools to deal with certain situations that were developing. I was looking for guidance, and direction.

In 1991, I took my first class in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. It was a free lesson and I was simply curious. After my first martial arts class, I signed up for a month figuring what is there to lose. As I kept going to class after class, I began to notice that the situations that I had been battling weren’t winning anymore. The tools to confront and deal with my issues were always inside of me and that my martial arts training was teaching me how to use them, not just for my current situation but for any situation.

Today I am still learning and noticing the impact that Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu has had on my life. There is nothing I would like better than to see this martial art transform someone else life for the better.
